DJI Avinox motor on Sava bicycles

From mid-2026, Sava will be introducing a significant technological innovation in the electric bicycle segment. Selected Sava e-bike models will now be equipped with state-of-the-art DJI Avinox motors, which deliver high performance, smooth operation, and intelligent assistance control. Basic features of the DJI Avinox motor

The basic characteristics of the DJi Avinox motor are a peak power of approximately 850 W and 105 Nm in normal mode and a short-term boost mode of up to ~1,000 W and 120 Nm (default duration of approximately 30 seconds, adjustable in the app up to ~60 seconds). You will appreciate the power especially on steep and technical climbs, where you simply need to overcome terrain obstacles or maintain grip in sand. However, the main advantage of the DJI Avinox motor is its natural, smooth power delivery without jerking and extremely quiet operation, even compared to lighter mid-power systems.

Display control

Avinox has a modern OLED touchscreen display where you can set riding modes or fine-tune the level of assistance directly on the frame. So there's no need for complicated settings on your phone; you can do it right on the bike while riding in a matter of seconds. In addition, the option to add a SIM/e-SIM and GPS allows you to track your location, set an alarm, and unlock the bike when you approach it with your phone.

Sensors and traction

Instead of a single magnet on the wheel, DJI Avinox collects data with a sensor disc, which sends many times more speed data to the control unit. The result is noticeably smoother speed control, better traction/anti-slip, and more natural responses when shifting gears in technical sections.
